3.IGSS Ventures has agreed to establish a semiconductor park with the Tamil Nadu government.

In ‘category B,’ Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Goa were named ‘leaders.’

The ‘Aspiring leaders’ group includes Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan.

Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Mizoram, and Ladakh are classified as ‘Emerging startup ecosystems.’

This rating exercise included 24 states and seven Union territories (UTs). The ranking was announced by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.

This rating is based on the performance of the states in seven reform areas grouped into 26 action points.

A windfall gain tax is a higher tax rate imposed on a company’s or industry’s unexpected large gains.

The gold Basic Custom Duty (BCD) has been raised from 7.5 percent to 12.5 percent.

The 2.5 percent Agriculture Infrastructure Development Cess will be maintained. The BCD surcharge has been eliminated.

The effective import tariff on gold is now 15%, up from 10.75% before.

The Union Home Ministry has revised the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) to give some relief, including the ability for relatives to contribute more money to India.

The new law allows relatives to send up to ten lakh rupees without notifying the government.

Individuals will now have three months instead of the prior 30 days to notify the authorities if the sum surpasses ten lakhs.

Furthermore, the modified law allows organisations additional time to notify the government about the creation of bank accounts for the purpose of funds received through “registration” or “prior approval.”

A requirement that organisations or individuals receiving foreign funding publish their contributions on their official website every three months has also been removed.

Since 1923, cooperatives throughout the globe have commemorated this day, which was formally declared by the United Nations General Assembly on the ICA’s centenary in 1995.

On December 16, 1992, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution designating July 1, 1995, as the International Day of Cooperatives.

On July 4, New Delhi commemorated the 100th International Day of Cooperatives, with Home Minister Amit Shah as the Chief Guest.

The Ministry of Cooperation and the National Cooperative Federation of India organised the event, which had the subject “Cooperatives Build an Atmanirbhar Bharat and a Better World.”
