Wade case. This decision was made on the validity of a 2018 Mississippi state law that outlawed abortions after the first 15 weeks of pregnancy (Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization). After this Supreme Court decision, about 36 million American women of reproductive age will no longer have the constitutional right to an abortion. The US Supreme Court had determined in the famous Roe v. Wade decision from 1973 that a woman’s right to end her pregnancy was guaranteed by the US constitution. According to the Supreme Court, individual states may now allow or prohibit abortion. Following the Supreme Court ruling, 13 states have passed “trigger laws” that ban abortion. |

Punjab (0.76), Himachal Pradesh (0.73), Sikkim (0.72), and Uttarakhand (0.77) are in the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. The list’s lowest states are Bihar (0.02), Tripura (0.14), Uttar Pradesh (0.177), and Odisha (0.179). It would offer a 3 lakh annual cashless medical insurance cover. The yearly fee will be Rs 4,800 + GST of 18%. According to this plan, the government will pay the premium in advance on behalf of the workers and pensioners, and then it will be subtracted from their wages or retirement benefits. Employees of local self-government organisations and colleges are also eligible for the programme. Oriental Insurance Company will adopt the MEDISEP plan. There would be over 30 lakh beneficiaries. |
